Photoaging - One of the effects of aging is skin wrinkling. This problem can occur in some people at a young age, because of the effect of UV rays on skin. In medical terms, this is called ``Photo Aging''. Information about Photoaging and causes of photoaging & how can we prevent Photoaging will see in this post.

``The most sensitive part of the human body is the skin. There are total six types of skin texture - type 1, type 2, type 3, type 4, type 5 and type 6. These types are based on the amount of UV rays that the skin absorbs each day, either conventionally or depending on the level of temperature encountered on a daily basis.

The rays emitted from the sun will cause a change in the area called ``Elastic Fibers'' at the bottom of the skin. This is a normal change that occurs with aging. However, some people experience premature changes when exposed to more sunlight. That is ``photo-aging.''

Wrinkles around the eyes, small pits on the lips, spider veins on the surface of the skin on the nose, chin, and neck are signs of photo-aging. Dull skin and occasional red or dark spots can also be the start of photo-aging.

How to avoid photo aging...

           1)  Limit going out of the house between 10 am and 3 pm.

   2)  If you have to go to a sunny area during the day, you can wear special clothes to cover your hands, face and head. Cap and gloves can be worn.

   3)  Use sun-screen on the most exposed parts of the body. Sun-screen should have an SPF of 15 to 30.

   4)  If you notice signs of photo-aging, consult a dermatologist properly. Sunscreen is recommended according to skin type. Sometimes sunscreen tablets and antioxidant tablets may be prescribed.''

Conclusion:

Photo-aging is the process of skin aging caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or other sources. This type of aging results in wrinkles, age spots, and a rough, leathery texture. It is important to protect the skin from UV radiation by wearing sunscreen, protective clothing, and limiting sun exposure, as well as maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle

Additionally, using skincare products that contain antioxidants can help to repair and prevent damage caused by photoaging. It's worth noting that while photoaging can be prevented or slowed down, it can't be entirely reversed.

If you encounter any symptoms related to what we discussed above, immediately consult with dermatologist with-out any delay.

I hope the above information is helpful for you, will see you all in next post with an interesting subject.
